About Us
Headteacher's Welcomewelcome from our
Head of School
I am delighted to welcome you to the Stafford Junior School website. We are a three-form entry junior school located in the heart of Eastbourne and we are proud to be a member of the Cavendish Education Trust. Our motto is to be the best that we can be and we strive every day to empower our wonderful children to learn their strengths, passions and interests and to grow as learners and as members of our Stafford community, with every pupil feeling that all-important sense of belonging.
At Stafford we provide a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum that encourages pupils to become independent and resilient, encouraging a love of learning that will stay with them for life. The school offers excellent facilities including a Reading Cafe, a STEM Den for Science, Design Technology lessons, a Music room and an amazing outdoor space and Forest School. We have high standards for the pupils, their learning and the progress they make.
Life at Stafford is underpinned by our exceptionally strong programme to support pupils’ personal, social and health education (PHSE). The PHSE learning supports the pupils to grow as successful learners and gives them the tools to navigate the various challenges of growing up and to make safe, healthy and effective choices. The children learn about the Stafford Circle of Kindness and they live our values of respect, resilience and responsibility.
We know that as parents, your children are your most precious treasures and that you are putting your trust in us to support them to flourish, both personally and academically, to enjoy learning, to feel seen and celebrated, and to set them up to succeed for their secondary education. We believe that working together with you as parents and carers is vital to ensure the best outcomes for your child.
